Harshitha Santosh, our May intern

We welcomed Harshitha Santosh as a design intern throughout the month of May to the ThreeTenSeven team. Harshitha has just graduated from University of Leeds’ Masters in Advertising and Design course. She has spent the last three weeks with us supporting ongoing projects. We asked her a couple of questions about her time in the studio.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm a brand and web designer from India. My journey into design started during my undergraduate days in Mass Communication & Journalism. While studying, I stumbled upon graphic design and fell in love with it.

During an internship at an advertising agency, I got the chance to dive deeper into design, and that's when I knew I wanted to make it my career. Art has always been my thing - I've dabbled in everything from printmaking to sculpting and painting. But graphic design struck a chord with me because it allowed me to blend my artistic flair with my degree in communications.

To further my passion for communications and design, I moved to the UK to pursue a Masters in Advertising and Design at the University of Leeds. I recently graduated in December, and I'm excited to see where my career takes me next.

How did you find out about ThreeTenSeven? Why did you want to do an internship here?

I discovered ThreeTenSeven through their Instagram page and came across their case study of Leeds University Business School. After doing a deep dive of their work, I became really interested in the type of projects they handle and how they positioned themselves as a niche agency. It was exactly the kind of opportunity I was looking for, and the internship allowed me to dive into it.

How has your internship been? What have you worked on?

My internship with ThreeTenSeven has been incredible. I've truly enjoyed working there—the culture is fantastic, and everyone is so welcoming. In just a few weeks, I learned so much and got to work on various branding projects. Among them, one particularly exciting project allowing me to further explore AI and use Midjourney to support the design. It was a refreshing change of pace from the more traditional branding projects, allowing me to unleash my creativity in a different way. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on another project involving the creation of a new transport app.

What are your future aspirations?

Looking ahead, I'm excited about the prospect of working as a designer in a branding agency. Collaborating with fellow designers to develop new & engaging brand identities sounds like an absolute dream.
