About this role
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Account Manager to join our brilliant Client Services team at ThreeTenSeven.
This role is all about developing strong relationships with clients, managing several projects at one time, and ensuring fantastic creative output across them. The role is varied – you’d be running larger brand and campaign projects with the support of an Account Director, and you’ll be more independent on some of our smaller accounts. The role would be perfect for someone who is great with clients, super organised and who has an eye for good design.
Your initial client list will be varied but will include health clients including both non-profits and NHS, an education client, public sector and some commercial (but with a focus on purpose-led brands/brands that do no harm). You don't need to have health experience but an interest in health and wellbeing is handy as that’s our growing area of specialism.
Naturally client liaison and Account Management are at the core of this role – you'll be the face of the agency and we'll trust you to build brilliant relationships with some of our favourite clients – but project management skills are important to keep things running smoothly. Therefore, varied experience is useful to us, including branding and/or campaign projects. Some awareness of strategy and web projects would also be great but you'd be working with a wider team with varied skills so we can move work around to fit, and we can teach you the ropes, if you’re interested and willing to learn.
You will work directly with clients at different levels, alongside a wider team including Account Director and Account Manager roles, and with a studio team that includes Designers, Strategy, Front-End Development and other skills. It's important you're willing and able to delegate and to work as part of a team – no lone wolves please.
There's room for growth into AD roles or for you to follow other passions in other areas of the business. For example other people in the SAM role have gone on to become Strategists or even the MD! There's scope for development into leadership roles and we’ll put a development plan in place. You can also get involved in our own events and marketing if this is an area of interest.
Key skills and experience
- 5 or more years' experience in a brand, design and/or marketing agency
- Knowledge of creative processes and channels, including digital platforms
- Experience of handling several client projects at once, with a focus on client retention and building strong, trusting relationships
- Excellent commercial awareness and an ability to both grow client revenue through proactiveness, and through effectively manage studio time and scope creep, to reduce wasted time
- Ownership of the financial aspects of a client project, from a consistent and correct estimating process, proposal writing, client approval, purchase order receipt through to final invoice and job reconciliation
- Strong project management skills ensuring projects are completed to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an ability to learn our job management software (Streamtime) to monitor job profitability
- Excellent organisational skills and desire to look for ways to continually improve processes
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
Key behaviours
- Passionate about brand, design, and creativity, with a drive for excellence
- Approachable, personable and enthusiastic team player, willing to muck in and help others out
- Leads by example and encourages everybody to perform to the best of their ability, increasingly developing leadership ability with support
- Inquisitive about clients' worlds and ours, eager to learn and contribute ideas
- Comfortable in front of clients, capable of leading meetings and conversation
- Self-starter, asking for forgiveness not permission
- Highly organised, able to prioritise well and field competing requests on your time
- Credible, articulate communicator, delivering ideas clearly and concisely to clients and internally, too
- Reliable, flexible, and cooperative
- Flexible, diplomatic, and tactful with a matter-of-fact approach to resolving differences with internal teams and clients
How to apply
Please send your CV to jobs@threetenseven.co, and we'd appreciate if you'd remove as much identifiable information from your CV as possible, and definitely any headshots/photos. To help remove hidden biases from our process, we blind-screen CVs when we shortlist.
Successful applicants will be invited to a first stage interview by Teams or Zoom. If you're a good fit, that will be followed by a second stage on-site interview so you can meet the wider team.
As part of our inclusive process, to help you prepare and to settle nerves, we'll provide you with interview questions in advance.
We're open-minded about the type of people we work with, so if you are excited about this role, but don't meet every item listed, we still really encourage you to apply.
